Delve into the mind of Teala
Day 30 - What effect has Harry Potter made on your life and how much does it mean to you.

Well isn’t this just the million dollar question? I feel like this should be an epic post to mark the end of my 30 day Harry Potter challenge. I can’t really promise that so I’ll just answer the question.

I love reading. I love picking up a book and being transported to another time and another place. Reading is escaping from whatever is happening around you. Even if you’re not trying to escape from a hellish life it provides enough stimulation to make a ok life even better.

I love magic. I love believing in things that other people think are boohaki (I’ve been watching a lot of Friends lately). It makes life so much more fun to believe that something may exist but you have to find it to see if it really does, like Unicorns and spirits. Much like Luna Lovegood, who even in a world of Unicorns and other magic still manages to believe in boohaki things like Crumple-Horned Snorkacks.

I love Harry Potter. It is the perfect blend of escapism and magic with a hint of this-really-could-be-real imagination. I honestly feel blessed to be allowed into the magic world and follow the journeys of each character. Having books span over such a long time has allowed me to grow up with the characters too. This means that Harry Potter has always had a part to play in my life, from that day when I picked up the first book to read. It shall continue to be a part of my life because even after the 100th time reading the books, I still gain an immense sense of pleasure when reading them. Although not a huge fan of the movies whenever I see Rupert Grint I will always be reminded of my completely unnatural love for Ron Weasley.

The Harry Potter books are honestly my favourite books to read. They provide hours of entertainment and the impact it has had on my life has become very apparent with this 30 day challenge. If one thing is for sure I will refuse to stop entering Hogwarts for as long as I shall live.
